Well, I am sure most of you are not old enough to remember when Ali fought Liston and knocked him out with the phantom punch. This was an Ali hook type of punch where Silva is backing up and flicks out the right hand, not punches it out and knocks out Griffin. Even the announcers said this was the most embarrassing knock out in UFC history, and Griffin must agree, he literally ran out of the ring as soon as he got up from the flicking knockout. It's really Amazing.

Forrest Griffin claimed to be one of the tuff guy, he stood toe to toe with Rampage Jackson and beat him, he was a gladiator in the Bonner fight and help build the UFC, but in this fight he looked like an amateur against a professional. Is Griffin bit of hurry? He never made a good attack, never landed any punch hard or delivered any good leg or body kicks. He was knocked down 2 times and smashed hard on the ground, then let up by Silva, bowed to and then knocked cold by a flicking punch. This might be simply doesn't happen to someone of Griffin's caliber, unless they are so outclassed they have no defense and can mount no offense, and that is what happened. Silva outclassed him so badly that he embarrassed him.

It might be not quite impossible to think that Griffin could beat this great fighter. He is definitely the 2nd toughest guy in the UFC, far behind Brock Lesnar, but still ahead of everyone else.With just one punch and the fight is already finished. Will Griffin still have a chance to beat Anderson in due time? Who will be the next opponent of Anderson Silva?
